The People Inc. employee intranet is a configurable web-based tool that enables line managers and employees to access a pre-determined selection of information held within the People Inc. database and contribute to this where appropriate.

For example employees are able to book holiday on-line using this module. These bookings are routed to their manager for approval, and then booked automatically into the database. Managers can also access the records associated with their employees using this tool, and should HR wish, managers can have responsibility for the maintenance of some of the employee-related details. All self-service access is achieved using a standard web-browser (ensuring that no additional software needs be installed on employees’ PCs).

A wealth of feature-rich functionality is available from the standard People Inc. system, however, the real strength of the product is the flexibility inherent in the design. This enables user to configure the system to manage company-specific information and processes. A range of tools are provided that enable users to do this. These include:

  • Powerful MS SQL database (providing reliability, security and high capacity)
  • Extensive standard system screens designed to record all HR information
  • Facility to attach documents to records (for example CVs)
  • Generation of letters and e-mails to employees (and any other contacts)
  • User-definable letter templates (using Microsoft Word)
  • Screen-design and report-design tools (enabling users to tailor system)
  • Utilities to import and export data (to MS Excel and other formats)

People Inc Time

People Inc Time from P&A Software Solutions, is an add on module for existing and new People Inc users who require a comprehensive yet easy to use Time and Attendance system.

Hardware and software elements of People Inc. Time combine to provide you with a complete system to schedule work patterns and manage employee timekeeping. The system allows flexible work planning which can be configured quickly and easily to help you to cater for variable staffing requirements.

People Inc. Time is a powerful, flexible, up-to-date and cost-effective solution for managing:
• flexible work pattern planning
• standard business rules for shift patterns, overtime, holidays, and exceptions
• time registration
• access control
• holiday requests and attendance records
• multiple site working
A single copy of People Inc. Time can be used to manage staff attendance at many sites Time registration can be achieved using a range of devices including modern clock terminals (including biometric), PC clocking-in (including touch screen), and web-based registration tools.

Standard reports are provided and you can use these to feed directly into your payroll system and to identify absence trends. The access control features means that you can control employee access to buildings or specific areas of buildings.

The system can be used in conjunction with the HR functionality of People Inc. and the Employee Intranet module.

People Inc. Time – Access control

Access control is essential in organisations where assets require protection from theft or damage or where security of operations or staff is paramount.

People Inc. Time allows access to nominated personnel while maintaining strict security. Traditional locks and keys are eliminated by the access system and greater control can be exercised than by any other methods.

Access through controlled doors is allowed by access passes. This means that you can allocate different access rights to each individual member of your staff. Doors are locked automatically and anyone without an appropriate pass will be unable to open them.

People Inc. Time can be programmed to allow individual doors to be unlocked during specified periods. You may choose to have your main entrance doors open while internal doors are locked, or require employees to use a pass at certain times. Time-limited access to specific parts of the building by individual users is also possible. The choice is entirely yours.
