People Inc. is a powerful, flexible, HR information management tool. The system is designed for use by those responsible for personnel within an organisation including the personnel department, senior management, line managers and employees, and enables users to manage all aspects of human resources effectively and efficiently.

The standard configuration of People Inc. provides screens and functionality to manage the following:
- Basic employee details (name address, key dates, equal-ops, etc.)
- Absence allowances, absence bookings and reporting.
- Job details, establishment, headcount, career history
- Remuneration (pay and benefits)
- Appraisals and training needs, course bookings
- Recruitment (including internal recruitment)
- Company cars and pool vehicles
- Equipment issued (e.g. safety equipment, mobile phones)
- Discipline and grievance
- Next of kin, bank account, medicals, maternity leave, paternity leave
- Parental leave

People Inc Web Client
The People Inc. employee intranet is a configurable web-based tool that enables line managers and employees to access a pre-determined selection of information held within the People Inc. database and contribute to this where appropriate.
For example employees are able to book holiday on-line using this module. These bookings are routed to their manager for approval, and then booked automatically into the database. Managers can also access the records associated with their employees using this tool, and should HR wish, managers can have responsibility for the maintenance of some of the employee-related details. All self-service access is achieved using a standard web-browser (ensuring that no additional software needs be installed on employees’ PCs).

Flexibility
A wealth of feature-rich functionality is available from the standard People Inc. system, however, the real strength of the product is the flexibility inherent in the design. This enables user to configure the system to manage company-specific information and processes. A range of tools are provided that enable users to do this. These include:
- Powerful MS SQL database (providing reliability, security and high capacity)
- Extensive standard system screens designed to record all HR information
- Facility to attach documents to records (for example CVs)
- Generation of letters and e-mails to employees (and any other contacts)
- User-definable letter templates (using Microsoft Word)
- Screen-design and report-design tools (enabling users to tailor system)
- Utilities to import and export data (to MS Excel and other formats)
- User-level security
- Wizard–driven processes (for key activities)
- Centralised Action List
- Generation of reports (including PDFs and graphs)
